11. Part-Time Teachers

The Payment of Part-time Teachers should be in proportion to hours of employment.

The sanction of the Director of Education should be obtained for the employment of such Teachers.

12. Increments

Subject to the approval of the Director of Education, Increments in respect of service prior to the introduction of the New Coue may be added; but only in so far as may be required to enable a Teacher to receive not less than his previous actual Salary. When the Salary of a Teacher is on an incremental basis, incre- ments are subject to confirmation by the School Authorities. Should the School Authorities decide for any just reaen that such increment in the case of any Teacher or Teachers should not be paid, the money thus saved should be deducted from the Block Grant for the coming Triennium.

13. Composition of Staff

The Composition of the Staffs of Schools should be subject to the approval of the Director of Education both on the introduction of the New Code and periodically thereafter.

III.

LEAVE

14. After periods of not less than four years' resident service,

European Teachers should be grantea Full-Pay Leave for a period of six months in the country of origin, at the discretion of the School Authorities.

15. Such Full-Pay Leave should be taken into account in assessing

the Grant, as also the additional expense entailed through such appointments as may be necessary in order temporarily to replace a Teacher or Teachers on leave.

16. This provision of Full-Pay Leave should not apply to such Teachers

as actually continue to work in the Colony, e.g., Catholic Religious Teachers and others who do not normally go on leave after four years' service.

If, however, at any time after four or more years' resident service the School Authorities consider that Leave would benefit any such Teacher the provision of No. 14 should apply.

17. In cases of serious illness, in which special consideration is

deemed advisable, the approval of the Director of Education shoula be obtained.

IV. PASSAGES

18. Government should undertake to pay the cost of Fassages for

European Teachers:
